Three Birders for $5 can't be bad.

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know that if you happen have $5 burning a hole in your pocket and you have watched all the re-runs of Coronation Street there is an alternative.
Why not come out and see the superb photography of Connor Stefanison and Liron Gerstman, both are masters of presenting birds in their natural habitat.
I don't quite know what the other two birders are presenting but I will be presenting some images from my recent trip to Mexico.
Hope to see you there.

DNS members: If you were not at tonight’s Birds in Focus evening at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre (TAC), you missed an incredible evening of awesome photographic presentations.  There was a full house, around 80 people, and everyone stayed riveted until the finish at about 9:50 pm. The three presenters, John Gordon, Connor Stephanison and Liron Gertsman each presented for half an hour, and their photographs were pure genius, made even better by their interesting and informative presentations.

The evening was organized by your Delta Nats, led by the indefatigable Elizabeth Perrin. Financial and facility support were provided by the Boundary Bay Park Association (BBPA) and the City of Delta (Thanks Jacqueline & Caroline). The evening started at 6:30 pm with a “buffet table” and tour of the bird and nature photographs and artwork display. Three Nats had photos on display,; Jack MacDonald, Jim Kneesch and Glen Bodie (Wish we had more). The Delta Nats Social Committee led by Joanne Williamson had a broad array of delectable delights for the patrons to munch on, including meats, veges, fruits, crackers and cookies with coffee, tea and juices. Joanne’s Team looking after the refreshments were other Nats Jennifer Melville-Roberts and Valerie Whitlam, and BBPA volunteer Joanne McAllister.

The presentation program began at 7:30 pm sharp with Tom giving an introduction, including a tribute to the Birds in Focus founder some ten years ago, Ursula Easterbrook. He also noted and thanked the afore-mentioned sponsors, Social Committee, Tech support from the tanned Paul Rennie (returned from Hawaii yesterday), Lauris Williams and Carol Rennie for registration duty at the door, and our “musclemen” Terry Carr and Jim Kneesch for bringing and setting up the audio-visual equipment. And the indispensable Elizabeth who introduced each speaker, John, Connor, then Liron after a 10 minute refreshment break. Many Delta Nats contributed to make this evening a success, and the membership can be very proud of this first class event. Looking forward to next year’s version. Cheers: Tom

  2. It's an annual event, your should present next year, they are always looking for speakers. Liron blew us away with his knowledge and Connor with his dedication to go beyond to get that extra special image. Overall, a super evening. Sorry I didn't publicize earlier.
